Real Sad In a Weird World, the first album from Stilt Lives, is a project born out of a shared interest in genre-blending music, as well as shared aesthetics with bases in Rap and Electronic music, Science Fiction/Futurism, Existentialism, and personal taste.

The main theme of the album is possibly Uncertainty, though other areas explored are Identity, Depression, Anxiety, Loneliness, Longing, and other similarly reflective and seemingly morose grounds; though an over-arching message throughout is one of dogged perseverance in spite of whatever unknown tribulations await.

With inspiration running the gamut from Arthur C. Clarke to I Heart Huckabees, the album seeks, more than anything, to convey the message that, while we may be floating on a giant rock in space, forever at the whim of cosmic chance, we can find a way to make things that may just speak to others in some way that might be considered significant.

Not really sure, though, to be honest.
